PITCH FIGURES

Pitch Figures was an audio-visual installation which playfully leveraged motion, verticality, and sound through a floating field of staggered conduit pipes to unify space, movement, and music. The pipes were suspended from wooden rings which determined their lengths, and correspondingly, their resulting pitches. These pitch figures were codified and dampened with colored paper bands, creating a visual echo of the swaying forest of sounds. Pitch Figures intertwined touch, depth, movement, and sound during its lifetime before closing several weeks later.
